| Land clearing (wooded lot) | $1,200 – $8,000 per acre | [1] |

What moves the price
- Height and trunk size. Bigger trees take more time, rigging and haul-off.
- What's underneath. A tree over a roof, pool, fence or power line usually has to come down in pieces.
- Access. Backyards with no gate wide enough for equipment mean more hand work.
- Condition. Dead or storm-split trees can be more dangerous to climb.
- Cleanup choices. Hauling logs and brush, leaving firewood, or grinding the stump all change the total.
Getting a fair estimate
- Get the price in writing, and ask exactly what's included: haul-off, stump, and cleanup.
- Ask about insurance (liability and workers' comp) before anyone climbs.
- Be wary of anyone who asks for full payment before the work is done.
